Description
Sweet corn ribs are a fun and flavorful appetizer made from fresh corn on the cob, seasoned and baked until tender and slightly crispy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ears of sweet corn, husked
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: chopped fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut each ear of corn in half or thirds, creating ‘ribs’.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the corn ribs all over with the seasoned oil mixture.
- Arrange the corn ribs in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the corn is tender and lightly charred.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- You can adjust the seasonings to your preference. Try chili powder for a spicy kick or cumin for an earthy flavor.
- Ensure the corn is evenly coated with the oil mixture for consistent flavor and cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; use two if necessary to allow the corn to roast properly.
