Description

Smash Burger Tacos combine the flavors of a smash burger with the convenience of a taco.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, quartered
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup diced onion

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Form into 8 small balls.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place each beef ball in the skillet and smash thin with a spatula.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.
  6. Place cheese quarters on each patty and let melt.
  7. Warm tortillas.
  8. Place each patty on a tortilla.
  9. Top with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and onion.
  10. Fold and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For spicier tacos, add jalapeños.
