Description

Pistachio Tiramisu is a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert. It features layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, and a rich pistachio flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (3 ounces) ladyfingers
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup pistachio liqueur (optional)
  • 16 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, finely ground
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine cooled coffee and pistachio liqueur (if using). Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and arrange in a single layer in the bottom of a dish.
  2. In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold in the ground pistachios.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  7. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chopped pistachios.

Notes

  • For a stronger pistachio flavor, add a few drops of pistachio extract to the mascarpone mixture.
  • You can substitute almond liqueur or amaretto for the pistachio liqueur.
