Sweet and tender carrots glazed with maple syrup and butter, a perfect side dish.

- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced carrots to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until slightly tender-crisp.
- Pour in the maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Continue to cook for another 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and the glaze has thickened.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg along with the maple syrup.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to your liking.
- These carrots can be prepared ahead of time and reheated gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
