Ingredients

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pot and cook noodles for 3 minutes.
  2. Drain the noodles but reserve 0.25 cup of the starchy cooking water.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and sriracha.
  6. Simmer the sauce for 2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet.
  8. Add a splash of reserved cooking water if the sauce is too thick.
  9. Mix until every noodle is coated in the glaze.
  10. Top with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Add cooked chicken or tofu for extra protein.
  • Use chili crisp oil to increase the spice level.
