Crispy fried chicken coated in a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken pieces (thighs or wings)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (e.g., sriracha or Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Dip each chicken piece first into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the flour mixture.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry chicken in batches for 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a wire rack.
- While the chicken is frying, prepare the hot honey glaze. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. Heat over medium heat, stirring, until well combined and slightly thickened.
- Toss the fried chicken pieces in the hot honey glaze until evenly coated.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy chicken, double-fry the pieces.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped chives if desired.
