Description
This recipe delivers tender chicken coated in a sweet and tangy honey balsamic glaze. It’s a quick and flavorful meal perfect for weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and no longer pink.
- Pour the honey balsamic glaze over the chicken in the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, spooning the glaze over the chicken, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the chicken.
- Remove chicken from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in half of the balsamic glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust the amount of honey to your sweetness preference.
- This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables, rice, or a simple green salad.
